Just a little about me.
Hi, my name is Kiri Jurschewsky. I've travelled the world and lived in and experienced so many different cultures. I've experienced so many places and had so many great adventures.
After I was born we moved to Vienna. I don’t remember much from the time but visited a few times when I was older and loved the old city feel.
Then we moved to Beijing. This time influenced me a lot, It was a really fun place to grow up as a kid. Since we lived in a compound I was allowed to walk around alone whenever I wanted. It instilled freedom in me.
Next, we moved to Zagreb. There my father taught me confidence and courage. When we went shopping in the market in our neighbourhood, and if I wanted to get a chocolate bar or some stuff from the Diddel store, I had to get it myself. He would give me some money and send me off. At first, I was scared to do it. It was different than the compound. there was always so many people. But the more I did it the more confident I became.
And finally, after a brief three years in Canada (my first time since I was two months old,) we moved to New Delhi. It was the hardest move for me being 13. It was the hardest to live in. I got really sick at least once a year needing antibiotics, I lost my first dog there to old age. I saw the poverty and the filth that people live every day of our lives. India though me about sadness, perseverance and that everything is not always as bad as they seem. I also saw a lot of beauty there. Camping in the Himalayas will always be a cherished memory of mine.
I've always loved art. When I was young my mom would always put me in art classes wherever we moved to. I like experimenting with different mediums and exploring new ways to use them. One of my favourites from when I was younger that I haven't used in a long time is oil painting.
I have also really loved photography and capturing all the great moments of my life to keep as memories as well as more arty photography.
Apart from art, I am also a big geek. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I could talk about it for hours. GO GRYFFINDOR!! I also like to cosplay. I've done a few since I started a few years ago and I hope to do more now that I built my confidence a bit. I also like to play videogames in my free time, mostly older games but some newer ones as well ( Mario Brothers, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sims 4, MMORPG's)
