Sea Turtle

This illustration is an exploration working with making paint brushes in illustrator. I did this by making different paint strokes on a large sheet of paper and then scanned them. After the long process vectorizing all the scanned pages and making them into paint brushes in Illustrator I began painting the sea turtle. It was a very long project that required many layers and effects. While making it I had an alarm go off every 10 minutes to remind me to save in case of a program crash. Any loss of work would have been heartbreaking.
